Delete your KeleleGo account

How to permanently remove your KeleleGo account and the data tied to it.

You can delete your KeleleGo account at any time. Deletion is permanent — your profile is removed and you will not be able to sign back in. Past delivery records are kept in anonymised form so drivers, partners, dispute resolution, and tax reporting are not affected.

How to delete your account

From the mobile app (recommended)

  1. Open the KeleleGo app and sign in
  2. Tap the Profile tab in the bottom navigation
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the profile screen
  4. Tap Delete account
  5. Read the summary of what will be removed and what will be kept
  6. Enter your current password to confirm it is really you
  7. Optionally tell us why you are leaving
  8. Type DELETE in the confirmation field
  9. Tap Delete my account and confirm in the final prompt

Deletion takes effect immediately. You will be signed out of every device.

By email (alternative)

  1. Email support@kelelego.com from the email address on your account
  2. Subject line: Account Deletion Request
  3. Include the phone number on your account (so we can verify it is you)
  4. We respond within 3 business days to confirm
  5. Once verified, deletion is processed within 7 days
Before you delete: Make sure you have no active deliveries in progress. If you are a business owner with team members, you must remove or transfer your team members before the app will let you delete the account. If you are a driver with pending payouts, contact support first so we can pay you out.

What we keep — and why

Some records are kept in anonymised form because they are required by Ugandan tax and consumer protection law, or because removing them would break records owned by other people (drivers, partners, recipients).

Anonymised means your name, email, phone, and any other personal identifier are stripped from the record. What stays is the order number, pickup and drop-off areas, price, and timestamps — nothing that ties the record back to you as a person.

After deletion

Special cases

You are a business owner with a team

The app will refuse to delete your account if your business has active team members. Remove or transfer your team members first (Business dashboard → Team), then try again.

You are a driver with pending earnings

If you have unpaid earnings, contact support@kelelego.com before deleting so we can issue your final payout. Earnings records are kept for 7 years for tax purposes regardless of account status.

You are a team member of a business

Your team-member link to the parent business is removed automatically. The parent business account is unaffected.
